About Timber Cove Resort
Where is Timber Cove in California
Jenner is a coastal village in Sonoma County where the Russian River meets the Pacific Ocean. With a population of 136, this small town is home to a handful of restaurants, shops, and lots of wildlife. Just a short 14-mile (30-minute) drive up Highway 1 you will find Timber Cove Resort, secluded away and standing tall above the ocean. The magic in this property is that it’s really not that far away, just about 2.5 hours from the San Francisco Bay Area, but feels like there is no one for miles and miles.
About Timber Cove Resort | The backstory and property highlights
Timber Cove Resort was built in 1963 as a place of meditation and tranquility. After your short and windy journey, you can feel the peacefulness as soon as you step out. The property was designed by the original owner and architect, Richard Clements Jr. who was inspired by Frank Lloyd Wright’s organic architectural style. Many artists including famous landscape photographer, Ansel Adams visited Timber Cove and over the years it became known as “a place to be”.
In 2016, it was renovated to keep the original feel but subtly add modern amenities giving it a casually sophisticated aesthetic. Timber Cove Resort has thought of everything for its guests: some amenities include record players in every room, community spaces filled with games, sitting areas, and fires through the property to soak in the landscape, live music, and wine tastings.
Coast Kitchen is a full-service restaurant and bar on the property – serving breakfast, lunch, and dinner 7 days / a week, so if you want, you never have to leave during your stay. Coast Kitchen features seasonal and seafood dishes sourced from local vendors.
