Timber Cove Resort is a pretty magical place to elope. On the rocky coast of Northern California, a short drive up Highway 1 from Jenner, sits Timber Cove. A stunning rustic-modern hotel with panoramic ocean views, and all the relaxing vibes. The perfect place for a weekend getaway and to say I do! Thick, fog like clouds laying into every crevice of the hills + misty weather conditions all afternoon brought all the feels of Graham’s home country of Scotland as a special part to their day. Anne + Graham, flew out to the west coast + chose Timber Cove as it is a significant place in their journey. A couple years back they took a road trip up highway one from LA to Portland. A trip that started out as friends and turned into a week long first date. One of their favorite stops was Timber Cove for lunch, losing track of time here, their quick stop for a bite to eat turned into taking in the incredible views of Northern California’s coastline. After 2 years of long distance, they brought three close friends back to be apart of their union together. While Anne + Graham got ready in the same room, which was really chill + awesome, music played off the record player and Bret helped Graham get ready, while Anne did her own hair and make up. They joked that Bret was the best man, the ring bearer + the officiant. In typical wedding day fashion the guys are always ready first. So they headed to the bar in the lobby to hang out while Anne’s long time friend, Andrea helped her get into her dress. And then we were off to a spot A+G picked out for their ceremony. Gathered together on the cliffside overlooking the pacific, Brett, also a dear friend of Anne, spoke about their journey that first started in this place, and that their didn’t need to be a best man because the best man standing their was Graham. They vowed to each other to hold hands like sea otters in the crashing sea through life. After a beautiful ceremony, we wandered around the property stopping off for portraits + with their awesome entourage in tow. Andrea’s boyfriend even took video footage of it all which was a fun element + great for their families back home to see later! It was a great time, and at the end they were off to enjoy dinner + I’m sure some wine to celebrate together at Timber Cove’s restaurant, Coast Kitchen. I was off back down Highway One for now. I look forward to the next time I get to visit this incredible land, for another elopement or celebration or maybe just a weekend away with the pup!
