Triple S Ranch is quite the venue tucked back into the rolling hills above Calistoga + was the perfect setting for their weekend of festivities.Melissa + Anuar’s Wedding weekend started out with a relaxed Welcome dinner alongside their closest friends + family. A beautiful summer evening, full of lots of catching up, laughs, and incredible food, Tamales handmade by Anuar’s mother, sisters + aunts! Oh and live music!
M+A had the sole intention of every moment of this weekend to be about spending as much time with their loved ones as possible. Which is why they brought them to a venue where they could stay on site. It was so beautiful that as much as this was about them, they wanted it to be about their guests, that all traveled in to share with them.
Melissa started the day with quiet time in the grand 1800’s home that sits on the property, just her + her sister getting ready. Anuar prepped for the day in the property’s “gym”, a neat room with a collection of antiques that makes it a pretty fancy looking gym, and reading his letter from his soon to be wife. He was ready early, and took to being the bartender for arriving guests!
The ceremony location at Triple S Ranch has a beautiful walnut tree, a natural canopy for guests from the warm July sunshine. Melissa’s brother played the guitar as their parents walked them down the aisle, and they shared their handwritten vows together. When they walked back down aisle together as Husband and Wife, they stopped at the end to greet each and every guest as they headed towards cocktail hour, it was a special tradition. We had a few minutes for portraits, before M+A spent some time under the tree taking in all the emotions of the day. DO THIS ON YOUR WEDDING DAY! Take time just the two of you.
The rest of the evening was all about enjoying it! M+A joined their guests for cocktail hour, with drinks made by their favorite bartender’s in San Francisco, who came up for the weekend to serve and be apart of this special event. A second live band played through out cocktail hour and dinner. The Vintner’s Barn is the resturaunt that sits on the property, and a beautiful space for the reception. An eclectic of vintage furniture, signs, and two old bars, along with long farm tables where the seating chart was open family style. It really brought everyone together and the relaxed atmosphere allowed for lots of sharing and moving about through out dinner time for M+A and all of their guests. Once again, the ladies of Anuar’s family knocked it out of the park with dinner, enchiladas + all the fixings! Genuinely such a special gift they gave to them + everyone!
After dinner, we snuck away for sunset portraits but first! M+A wanted to enjoy the live music while everyone was on the lower terrace enjoying dinner and company. Dancing just the two of them for a few songs before taking in a few quiet moments together, sipping wine on the front porch.
A walk through the orchard led them back to their party, where dancing kicked off inside! Following their parent dances, Melissa had a surprise choreographed dance for Anuar that led into their first dance together. Mumford and Son’s, There Will Be Time, played as they slow danced together, friends and family circled close to share their energy. I’m pretty sure I’m not the only one in the room that was brought to chills from the incredible energy. It really wrapped up the weekend with that intimate feeling of M+A’s theme of close friends, incredible food + drinks, and good times.
